If there's a general consensus that the drum is annoying, would you leave it at home?

It should only take a few core singers to dictate the pace of the song, you really shouldn't need a beat.

I doubt we'd ditch it altogether, we have made modifications to the drum to flatten the sound that comes from it though.

I don't agree about just needing a few "core singers" to keep the rhythm going, a couple of voices get drowned out pretty easily, I think you need a beat to keep things ticking over, previously we banged on the windows at the side of the holte, or even the seats but inevitably things get broken.

If this one was playing the drum I don't think people would mind so much. ;)

On the basis that the Drum pisses most Villa Fans off, why not ditch it.

As has been said we are not Bolton.

I think chanting at football matches has been achieved quite effectively over the years without a 'beat to tick things over', particularly in our very own Holte End. I do however think you're missing a trick to not incorporate a bit of slap bass and a saxophone solo.

Views seem pretty mixed on here. Why this obsession with Bolton? Palace have a drum and have the best home atmosphere in the country. Celtic have a drum too. It's not just Bolton.

Must admit I can't hear Brigada over in L2 but occasionally hear the muffled beat of the drum. A few years ago I must admit I'd have been against a drum but with all seater stadia many newer and younger fans don't seem to have the ability to keep in rhythmn. Let's be honest when was the last time we had a very long version of <insert Managers name> Claret and Blue Army without it being ruined by people going too fast. The spirit of Everton away 89, Liverpool FAC away 92 is fast being lost and whilst I can recall a few times where it's got going ok Norwich LC Qtr final was a good example we don't do it like we used to and if a drum helps keep things going then I'm all for it.

I love the noise the Brigada boys make, hardly notice the drum.

If it keeps some of the grumpy fu**ers around me in the Trinity Middle awake it's doing a good job!

I think the Drum thing is totally selfish, " we like the drum so fuck you if you don't"

If that is how you think getting the fans to be together then there is some serious flaws in your argument.

You should stop the Drum thing.
