Randy, where are you?..
« on: May 25, 2015, 08:03:44 PM »
The club is still technically up for sale, we've recently changed the manager, been indicted for crowd behaviour problems, narrowly avoided relegation - oh, and we play in the FA Cup final on Saturday, hardly an uneventful season, and yet still, RL is, unless I have missed something - nowhere to be seen. please Randy - SAY SOMETHING TO US ABOUT YOUR INTENTIONS!!!. we read that you are reinvigorated about your involvement with us, we don't expect the Gettysburg Address, but a statement every now and again would help your cause no end. Even Mike Ashley has spoken to his lot, we would like to hear from you.

Hopefully, reviewing the final redraft of the sale contract to rich people who actually like great football clubs.

I doubt he even knows we're in the final.

After the Ashley interview , I half expect Lerner to know follow suit, stood up against a sponsor-wall ,SKY mic in face, then give a candid repose in full Geordie accent to cap off a surreal season.

Randy doesn't have to say anything. Transfer window is coming up. We will know his intentions soon enough by deed rather than word.

Randy said there will be no more announcements until we are sold.
He also said football matters will be left to Mr Fox.

We had problems with the management - Mr Fox sacked the manager. New manager fulfilled Fox demands. Chairman happy.
Fans mainly happy. No need for announcement.

??

Not you. The post suggesting that Randy doesn't even know we're in the cup final. Especially bearing in mind he's already said he was planning to attend the semi but missed it due to family bereavement.

will he be at the final?

From a John Percy article in the Torygraph dated 12th May.

Quote
Lerner’s plans to sell the club are expected to accelerate dramatically this month with Villa on the brink of securing Premier League survival.

Tim Sherwood, the Villa manager, faces Southampton this weekend and a point could be enough to make safety mathematically certain, which is likely to speed up the takeover process.

Lerner is keen to step aside after nine years and has told close friends his ideal scenario would be to walk away with the club having lifted the FA Cup and avoided relegation. He intends to be at the final against Arsenal at Wembley later this month.

What a fitting bookend and epitaph it would be for Lerner if indeed it was his last game as owner and it did see us lift that trophy. Everything would fall into place and it would all of made perfect sense.

For the years of ups and downs would it have been worth it?

Right now, yes. Well for me anyway.
