Ideally I would like Lerner to recommit himself to the club and open a new war chest

I tend to agree, based mainly on the fact that a new owner is far more likely to be a right nutter who will change the name, the colours and want to manage the team (or Tony Adams, which is pretty much as bad) as it is to be a benevolent  trillionaire.  Despite his many past fuck-ups Lerner may finally have hit on something with Fox and Sherwood and it would be a shame not see it given a chance and a bit of backing.

Oh and get a new shirt deal, this Macron stuff is wank

When does the deal expire?

Not sure but I think we will be in the crap next season, I usually buy my kits for £10 at the end of the season but that's too much

I am in the Devil you know camp. Finally it looks like we have some stability with Fox and Sherwood.

It feels like we are a club on the verge of being competitive again and what we need now is to build on this.

I would like Randy to stay.

Pretty much this - the thought of an asset stripping owner worries me

Meanwhile, on the pitch, keeper for starters, Shay can't go on forever and Brad has started to look vulnerable, if Benteke goes then that's an obvious one, need to strengthen in the L/B as well, if Vlaar goes, ditto.

Gotta love our Timmy.

Just had a look at the ssp preview of saints v villa.
Click on the Sherwood bet with the reporter for a ton.
The guy is a legend.

He seems to think that the club will not be sold by the pre season return..
Fingers crossed.

My football hopes for the year ahead can be summed up by the word "stay". Premiership, Lerner, Fox, Sherwood, Benteke, Delph, Cleverley, Grealish, Okore, Baker, Clark, Sinclair, Bacuna, N'Zogbia, Hutton.

My non football hopes are that the North Stand will not be jet washed but demolished and replaced with, over the whole site, a development incorporating a new North Stand, an hotel and a very large sports, leisure and community centre.   The way forward for the biggest and best clubs is as a hub for the local community and beyond.   With the right mix of uses the project could get very close in my opinion to being self financing.

We need to show the same foresight and confidence off the pitch as Tim Sherwood has instilled into the team.

Replace our entire back line and starting keeper.

Keep Ciaran  Clark and jettison the rest.
