I started seeing my Mrs in 2010. Villa were a decent, top 6 side. Since then though my personal life was excellent, the Villa have been shit for 5 years.
Things have been going downhill with the Mrs for a couple of months now (from around the time Timmy came to the club) and we're now splitting up.

I sense good things for the Villa. My relationship has almost been bookended by two cup finals. And this one we're going to win.

For the good of the club I will stay single until we've won the champions league.

Back to the bite the bullet thread, then, Supertom? Seriously, commiserations.

Hope it's not an omen for me personally. Split up with my ex missus a few months after the League Cup Final.

My own omen thing is wearing my manky old 92/93 home shirt. It's about ready to fall apart but we've beaten Everton and West Ham so far. I'm not about to take a chance and the acid test will be Saturday lunchtime.

Will wear my Davenports shirt over my black sweatshirt and 1874 t-shirt (yet again). Same pair of jeans and thermal socks aswell. Freddy, PWS and I have sat together for every cup game this season plus I have always ordered and paid for the tickets. There is also the small matter of pauliewalnut's (I think) prophecy when he found out I was not renewing my ST for the first time in 16 or so years.

I have worn my 1957 FA Cup winning shirt for every cup game so far.
Also: light blue cotton sweater underneath, claret sock on right foot, blue sock on left, same Levis and same "boots". Attended all of the games with my good mate John and his family.

Everything will be the same on the 30th.
