That is my favorite chant of all time,heard it alot in the early 80s (following Bananaramas hit) and this season at West Ham.Ironically the first time I heard it was 1984 vs Liverpool in the FA cup....

Sorry mate no,the best version was by a group called "Steam" but I believe was written by the Belmonts in the early 60s,it is a great pop song and perfect for a terrace chant,would love to hear it belted out more !

It's like something from Anchorman, great version though.

Edit-actually the lead singer looks like Vic Spanner (Kenneth Cope) from Carry on at your Convenience.

Ha! Join the club. Finally I can share my shame. What makes it worse is I only found out a few years ago. I blame the line 'Give it to me one time'. I had a similar story with Stretch - Why did you do it?
