On a similar note, where's a good place to park? For the 2010 we did the official Wembley parking but being as it's £30, what's the next best option?

£30 to park your car for an hour and a half, fuck my old boots.

I thought the same when I paid it in 2010 but I'm glad I did, 20mins after the game I was more or less out of London. I'm sure you can find equally good for less money but for a one off occasion it doesn't really bother me.

We always gather in The Volunteer in Baker St then straight on the tube. Best free parking is Neasden IKEA. Tesco will chuck you off.

Fab pub, I remember going there before the 2010 League Cup Final. Some serious old school Villa fans in there, the sort who just wear an old Villa badge and give you a quiet nod when they recognise one of their kind, probably including you Brian.

We were in there for the Chelsea semi final. Nice pub ruined by a few moronic should know better at their age Chelsea fans.

Ruislip this time as we're only going down for the day, then the train in to Wembley Park.

Official parking is fine if you're happy to sit motionless in the car park for 2-3 hours after the match.

Is this from experience ?

I've never found Official Parking a problem at Wembley.

we've been given the Yellow Car park, which is an easy out towards Sudbury/Harrow and avoids the North Circular and Hangar Lane

By far the worst Official Parking that I've experience regarding getting stuck/held back is the North Stand at Villa Park.

I parked there for a season in the late 90's (NB - I wasn't paying) and for 3pm KOs it normally took until close to 6pm before we got out.

Same here. I've used the Tube, unofficial parking and official parking at Wembley over the years (football and NFL) and I found that Official Parking is the best option.

I'd have paid the £30 even if I hadn't been picking some people up in Oxford and it was just me in the car.

If we'd have been given the Green Car Park or especially the old Red Car Park, then I might have thought twice but, as I said above, the Yellow Car Park is ideal if you're heading back towards the M40 westbound

For those that haven't been to Wemberleeee for a while, there's a new Mall and several other restaurants right next to the Stadium

The Volunteer was where the aforementioned Chelsea knobs had the temerity to try to wind up Damon. He utterly wiped the floor with them along the lines "listen, I remember when Bumstead was your best player" and proceeded to list the whole Chelsea team in which Bumstead played. Cop that, cockerney wankers.

Anyone been to harrow before a game at Wembley?

Harrow, is it me you're looking for...

Yeah, we did before the semis and the final in 2000.

Harrow can you go
Just thought I'd ask

Green Man is where I'll be. Great atmosphere in 2010 and massive beer garden, hope the sun is shining, and also on AVFC.

Anyone know how long it takes from Wembley Stadium Station onto the Wembley High Road?
There seem to be several pubs and eateries down there.
Looks like you can go along the walkway away from the White Horse Bridge as a short cut?

If you mean.....

THIS

You should be able to get down the path when you arrive but check the signs. I've seen that shortcut blocked off close to game time and after matches

One thing's for sure. Wembley is a bloody stupid place to have a football stadium.

very good, anything that puts those classless wankers in their place is fine by me...
