O'Neill has been gone, what, 4 years? Sure he was the catalyst but the buck stops with Lerner. He's just been proven to be out of his depth and regularly made mistakes that everyone else could see. If there is a takeover in the summer, I hope the next people know what they're doing and have the resources to stop us from having annual relegation scares.

Really? 5 years, 4 managers and 2 chief execs later, and still blaming MON, get fucking real.
You need to move on mate, you can't keep blaming your relationship failures on your ex- girlfriend.

Lerner for me, but we're not going to go down anyway. So there.

Randolph go and stand in the corner.  Unless we stay up then have a beer (provided you sell up and to someone decent).

Lambert. Look at what Sherwood is doing with Lambert's team. Lerner did cut the budget but we were capable of much better under Lambert.

I would blame the Judean Peoples Front, or is that the Peoples Front of Judea?

We aren't going down so there will be nobody to blame, but given that all season we have been saying that our squad isn't too bad (well some of us have), just the way we play, it would have to be Lambert.

I was tempted to say Lerner but Lambert tipped it for me as he was supported by Lerner but made some terrible decisions.

If she was giving me the kind of rogering that O'Neill gave Villa I would never have left her in the first place.

Is it not possible for it to be the fault of more than one person?

If we go down (and we almost certainly won't), then at least three people on that list would have a good deal of culpability.
Yes, our current situation (regardless of relegation) is down to a number of factors, not just one person.

That's my take on it as well. Everyone involved has made mistake somewhere along the line.

Towards the end you could have plucked anyone off here and they would have struggled to do worse than Lambert.

Maybe we should have given Ron Wylie more than just one game. I think that may have been where it all started going wrong. ;)

It would have to be with Lerner, should have sacked Lambert at the end of last season.

This. Lerner left a failing manager in charge far too long. Not only that he even okayed a new contract for him.

No Ellis option? That's a surprise
