A Villa fan died yesterday
« on: March 22, 2015, 07:25:21 PM »
Just wanted to put a notice on here about the sad death of a fellow Villain yesterday. I was on the Aston to Lichfield train yesterday when a guy not 6 feet away from me collapsed, suffering what seemed like a heart attack. A nurse who happened to be sitting right behind jumped up and administered CPR with the help of a fellow passenger. As soon as we got to Gravelly Hill, paramedics were there and gave him all the help they could for 15 minutes on the train at the station. They then took the poor guy on a stretcher to hospital.

I've since found out that this man passed away, and that he was a friend's friends dad. He and his family are obviously devastated.

I just wanted them to know, if they read this that everything possible was done to help him and he was looked after in his last moments. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere on the websites or the news sites and I thought he should be remebered. Unfortunately I dont know his name, but my friend told me he was a true Villain all his life.

RIP.

Sad to hear that. My father in law just died recently, the only positive we had was that we knew it was coming and everyone got to say their goodbyes (sounds strange)

Bloody cruel world sometimes.

RIP

I was on that train, and heard rumours that someone had died. Hoped it wasn't true. Very sad news. When we were nearly at Lichfield the driver thanked whoever it was that had raised the alarm about this person's collapse, mentioning their prompt action and their compassion.

The whole carriage gave her a round of applause after they took the guy off. There were women with tears in their eyes. It was really sad and a very strange atmosphere on there. Certainly puts things in perspective,

I was on the train behind, we were sat at Aston for a good 15 minutes and told a passenger was ill on the forward train.

Sad stuff, R.I.P.
