If We Could Only Beat The Baggies Once This Week...
« on: March 01, 2015, 03:11:34 AM »
While the thought of one win, any win, against them, would be welcomed, to gauge people's priorities...another league defeat would leave us clinging on amongst the deadmen while FA Cup glory is what most of us have never seen and crave.

I didn't want to include the option of a league draw, probably the most likely result, as that would have meant too many fence-sitting responses.

It's a good question. I can't believe I'm saying his as I would have said FA Cup qtr final every time but this season I'd have to say the League game.  How depressing.

Unless we get lucky draws we'll get hammered sooner or later in the Cup anyway.

I'm actually not sure we'll win either though if I'm honest.

League win all day long. I've predicted a loss but I really want 3 points.... it's been months.

League win all day long, we're not going to win the cup with this lot.  One win isn't acceptable though, we demand two.

3 points on Tuesday please.  I just hope that a win will help us turn the corner - we're dreadful but a bit unlucky too.  On current form we deserve to go down without question.

If we could beat them twice I would be sooooo happy....

I can't believe I'm saying this but given the choice ill  say the cup. We still have enough points to play for after Tuesday night. I think this is the  best chance of getting to Wembley we've had for a very long time.

League for sure. If we go down, it may well take us years to get back. If we get knocked out, well.....erm...we go again next year...

FA Cup win more important for me, I'm done with the Premier league and fighting relegation year after year let's have a couple of days out at Wembley and bring the FA Cup home to its rightful owner.

It's a question I can't answer. I'd take a draw on Tuesday in order to best them on Saturday.

First game I watched as a Villa fan was the 57 final on TV, when the great Peter McParland became an instant hero to me. 58 years later still waiting for us to win the greatest domestic cup competition in the world again. So I can't believe I would ever say this, but I would have to go for a league win. Only have to look at Wigan, who won the cup 2 years ago, and now facing relegation to football's 3rd tier.

Why don't we just win both?

As if I needed any more reason to vote for the league win, I've realised this week that I'm on holiday the week of the Cup Final as some idiot has put it at the end of May again.
