Statto corner - 39 points
« on: February 11, 2015, 07:07:08 AM »
Average points to stay up in last 10 years is 38. Given our awful goal difference I'll say we need 39.

That's 17 points in 13 games.
We have to win 4 games to have a chance.

To me Stoke, Baggies, QPR and Burnley are the must wins now.

Leicester I think are down, perm 2 from the 7 teams above them.

Any sign of Kozak ? We need some inspiration up front and it seems Christian has lost his or can't be bothered.

More than anything we need 11 players on the pitch who care... Can you name them ?

I'm sure a new manager could galvanise the team into winning a few games.
It won't happen with incompetent in charge.

Sunderland, Palace, Leicester and Hull. Four winnable games, two points and no goals.

Give it up, we're going down.

The games and points are certainly there to be won,but not with this car crash of a manager.

Bentekes contract must have a release clause if we go down, that maybe why he ain't bothering

Benteke's massively low in confidence. As you would be.

What I don't understand is how the board cannot see the team are gone. It's all well and good appointing a chief commercial officer what we need is a new manager someone to lift the team the club! Give the fans hope

There got going to get much sponsorship in the championship

Lambert is in denial and appears like the sort of person if he says something enough you start to believe it! He is toothless and is a total joke and he has to go

The team has no fight no ideas nothing!

Burnley and Leocester I think are down and we will be the other tea am! With lambert as manager I don't see us getting to 30 points

We have 12 points from the last 21 games.

We are doomed.

Add QPR to that list

We're in an almost identical situation as this stage 2 years ago. We then managed to win 6 of our last 13 games.

The big difference though was that we then had in in form Gabby and Weimann, and an on fire Benteke. Now we can't score goals and no one is in any form whatsoever.

That's why I think we are going down.

That perfectly illustrates why we're fucked. Those are supposed to be the winnable games and we failed to score a goal. That is yet another example of why Lambert should already be sacked.

Only 3 times since 2000 has a team needed 38+ points to stay up. From 2000 onwards the sides in 18th have had 33, 34, 36, 42, 33, 34, 34, 38, 36, 34, 30, 39, 36, 36, 33.

Interesting. And yet our squad is stronger.  If he stays he needs to revert to 352 and play counter attacking or long ball football.  Anything to get the goals back

Only 13 points in the last 22 games and hardly a goal scored .We have little chance of staying up.Lamberk needs to go NOW.Even that is now unlikely to save us it's been left to long. The players are nearly as bad Lamberk because even the likes of Delph and co have been a disgrace.Delph hasn't scored a goal or made an assist all season, for an England international that is dreadful.Cleverley is at best a championship player.Gabby and Weimann just arnt good enough.Benteke now doesn't now care.Westwood works hard but is not a premier league player.Vlaar if fit is ok but he is never fit.Lamberk has lost the dressing room.I remember when we got relegated to the old 3rd division if Lerner isn't careful this on the cards again.Something needs to be done now,but we all know it won't.Sad months ahead

Pointless arguments as we are not going to get anywhere near 38 points unless bimbo the clown does one
