Don't know if it's been reported in the UK, but Real Madrid and Barcelona have been forced to accept a form of collective bargaining after several of the other clubs threatened to go on strike for the games against them.

At the end of the day, as long as Murdoch can keep selling subscriptions (or selling Sky Sports to the likes of Virgin), it will keep getting worse.

Unfortunately the "non fan" who sees it as Monday night entertainment, or the pub crowd for want of better expressions, are now in the majority, so even if every match attending fan boycotted Sky Sports in all it's forms, the effect would be minimal and Murdoch would just stick another £10/month on the subscriptions to cover it.

And that's before you start on the overseas rights (and yes I'm guilty of contributing to that.)

Isn't the Spanish league adopting collective bargaining a good thing?

It should help spread the share of TV revenues in Spain and should also weaken the Premier League's power.

Surely a better protest would have been to stay at home and stop handing their money over?

I can't see the logic behind paying good money for a ticket to get into the ground to hold a banner complaining about fans being charged too much for tickets, other than make themselves look like the best fans ever, which is probably what they want.
