Indeed.

And how can we be the best league in the world when we don't have the best players?

Because that is only one of the many possible criteria by which you can judge the quality of something.

Having Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar playing in La Liga doesn't necessarily mean that Elche 0 - 0 Almeria is going to be any more exciting for people to watch than Hull - Villa.

What cut do Sky get from the overseas rights as it is their pictures that the broadcasters use?

I'd find it hard to believe it was less exciting.

What an odious twat Scudamore is.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/11/richard-scudamore-premier-league-responsibility-living-wage

"Asked whether it made him uncomfortable to see clubs paying some players “half-a-million pounds a week” while other members of staff earned below the living wage, Scudamore said: “No, it doesn’t make me uncomfortable."

If (and it's a fucking enormous if right now) we are still in this league, losing on a Friday night at home to Crystal Palace with no shots on target, we'd have the whole weekend to be thoroughly pissed off with Lambert instead of just Saturday evening and all day Sunday.

How mental are these increases? Not even Doug would have put up prices at this kind of percentage!

In 2004 the price went down. 8 Billion for the next deal. Is all this money good for the game?

Does anybody know what the ratio gate receipts/TV revenue will be with this new deal ?
Actual fans who attend actual games become ever more irrelevant.
