I'm travelling to this on the club's free coaches for the first time ever, as I'm taking my lad.

Can anyone advise on what it's like for leaving my car at Villa Park all day? Do they let you park in what is usually the away coach park?

Thanks in advance.

Why not have upper the allocation to 2350 and flogged them that way from the start?

I'd say it's because Sunderland have just realised they won't sell them so are offering them to us.

A while ago I did some research into how the club obtains away tickets. I can't remember which thread I put it info in.

However, the main reason why the club may not take the full allocation at the start is that everything over the minimum allocation has to be paid for in full by the club, ie if the club takes 1000 extra tickets but only sell 500, they still have to pay for 1000. Therefore the club has to be pretty sure that they'll sell out any additional allocation before they'll consider asking for extra tickets.

Long shot I guess at this late stage but I have a spare ticket going at face value of 19 quid. Please PM me if you're interested.

This seems like madness. All teams have to go away so why can't clubs be reasonable with each other and allow any unsold tickets to be returned?

Think this is what happened with Kiddy when they played Sunderland in the FA Cup last season...Kiddy sold first allocation and wanted another 500, Sunderland said you can only have another 1000 and you gotta pay for them up front.
Seems incredibly twattish to me.

"As part of our ongoing commitment to drive away attendances, we agreed a reciprocal visiting supporter price discount for this match with the Black Cats."

So I assume this means they paid £19 a ticket when they came here...similar arrangement with Hull and Swansea where we all pay £25.
