Cleverly is a complete bellend of a footballer, and I can completely understand the Man Utd fans who hated him being anywhere near their team.
Richardson is also complete garbage. Cissohko is much better.
Anyway, come on Villa!

Cleverly must have a play if fit clause in his contract, I'd definitely have played Sinclair instead.

I would have picked Bacuna ahead of Cleverley, but overall happy with that, and a better looking bench imho

We're going to sign Cleverley aren't we :(

Not for any cash transfer fee, we're not.

The lack of any other activity suggests that no-one else is that keen either, at least not at the fee involved.

It was a season long loan unless someone else matched the alleged £8M to make it permanent, and even then we got first refusal at that price.

If he's still here on the 3rd February, it just means no-one else wants to cough up Man Utd's asking price, nothing more, nothing less.

I wasn't on about before the deadline....I mean in the summer.

If we can get Get Gil, Wiemann and Benteke on form today they could upset that Arsenal defence.
Our defence and midfield looks strong too.

My only concern is it looks good on paper but will they go out and believe in themselves?

Good to see Gabby dropped to bench, and to see Delph as captain. Would rather have Westwood or Bacuna than Cleverley - I really just don't see anything in him which justifies him starting every week.

That's probably what I would have done. I certainly wouldn't have started with a player who only signed two days ago.

Wish TC23 would fuck off.

Decent team apart from that.

I'd prefer a new management team plus three or four players

He played well against Bournemouth so lets hope Cleverley can continue that an improve. For a while Gabby was the undroppable one, now it's our Tom. Still, there's attacking intent in that line up and nice to see Fabian given the captaincy which he'll essentially keep as long as Vlaar isn't in the team. Let's have a go boys. That Arsenal team is decent but nothing special.

He looked average against their reserves. Well is a vast exaggeration.

I don't think it is. He played well against the team that opposition in front of him. He's never going to do anything overly spectacular. Bournemouth sent out a team they had used to get through the previous round. I'm not going to cut him down for that. I would hope that he ups his game significantly to warrant us signing him permanently off course. He isn't remotely worth the price being quoted.

what sort of stipulations (if any) are the loaning club able to put into the loan contract?
