Worst Evers Under Paul Lambert.
« on: January 01, 2015, 08:24:58 PM »
First season.
Worst ever start.
Highest number of goals conceded.
Biggest ever PL (possibly league defeat).
Biggest number of goals conceded without reply (16).
Highest number of home defeats. (9I
First side to get beaten over two legs by a fourth tier side.

Second season.
Highest number of home defeats (10)
Lowest number of points in a PL season (surpassing McLeish two seasons earlier).

Third season so far.
Highest number of minutes without scoring a goal.
Highest number of English League managers leaving their jobs before Villa scored another goal (16).
Lowest goal tally after 20 games.
Lowest points tally in a calendar year?
Longest period without scoring in front of The Holte.

These are off the top of my head.  And don't include cup exits to:

Millwall, Sheffield United, Leyton Orient.

Failing to do the double over Palace today, I'd be interested to know the lowest number of doubles in a season?

Well we only did one last year I think (Norwich). So I'd still be relatively confident of doing no worse than equalling that.

That's some going to have achieved those records.

I wonder what the consensus would be on who was worse: Paul Lambert or Graham Turner?

Can some clever person put all the 'best' unwanted records in a nice picture of Lambert looking puzzled and share it on every social media site?

Turner. Lambert didn't inherit a side that was Champions of Europe two years earlier.

Still hurts to think of WTF he did with that team.

Pre-Premiership we didn't win away 75-76?

Can't someone, be it Leighton or SaundersHeroes, paint the starker stats above on an orange bedsheet or whatever for the next few VP games and give the cameras optimum chance to pick it out so that we can take our dissatisfaction viral?
