The bright side:

1) better this season than last. At least we have options to work around it (Cleveley, Sanchez, Richardson)

2) maybe this might remind him that he's been brittle in the past and it might be better to get signed onto a decent contract now rather than waiting to see what happens in three/six months time.

True, but on the contract side we don't know we've actually given him a decent contract to sign yet.

Him or us? This exact time last season we had 10 points, we'll probably end up having a point more going into November.

If he is out for a couple of months it will be up to Sanchez to show he was worth buying and Cleverley to step up and dominate more than he has shown so far. Hopefully Delph,s injury may not be as bad as we fear but knowing our luck it might be!

Bollocks. I'm glad in part that we've come through that shitty run of fixtures. We've got games which will be far kinder to throw Sanchez into and hopefully he can begin adapting to this league.

We also have to change the way we play in midfield. Without Delph's dynamism and drive, the others now have to step up, and perhaps they might take a more cultured approach.

I just wonder whether we should recall Gardner? If it's still a little too early for Sanchez, then we'll be short of options, particularly once we get up to the Crimbo fixture pile up.

I think he'd be better off playing well for Brighton, as I still don't think he'll really feature at the moment.

Cleverley, Westwood, Sanchez, Richardson and Bacuna should be sufficient for now.

We'd have Herd back in a month I suppose. If the worst came to it.

If we're relying on Herd in a month then, yes, the worst has come of it.

Yes...mind you the much maligned Nathan Baker has done surprisingly well this season.

We could go 4-3-1-2, with Grealish or N'zogbia in a free role just in front of the midfield. They'd both win us plenty of free kicks, Grealish especially.

Fucking hell, how is the world going to cope without Keys tweeting for the next three months?
