I loved that away kit. Two wins at Highbury, other wins I remember at Goodison and Forest. I remember we went to Barnsley in the FA Cup and won 2-0 in this kit with goals from Yorkie and Deano.

Wore it to Wembley in '94, and had the piss taken out of me by a bunch of Yanited fans....

Wearing their lace-neck, yellow and green halves, Newton Heath LYR get-up...

I quite like it.  Time heals.

But these T shirts are ace:

Love those! Are they available from the club shop?

I've always liked that away kit, mainly because we wore it the day I decided Villa was the team for me (Arsenal away, Nov 1993- 2-1 to us; Bosnich penalty save and Townsend with the winner in the last minute). I picked up a too-large dilapidated one for much less than the club shop are asking on ebay a couple of years ago, mind.

Yeah one of the classic away results of that era.  It a nice surprise for me that evening too as my brother had actually told me that we lost.  Weather he was saying that to wind me up or because he didn't get the final score I don't know, but I love watching the highlights when this happens!

The lace neck Villa home shirt is easily my favourite though. Was a lovely shirt that.

Already mentioned how I disliked that away shirt.
As it's been mentioned, I have to say that I didn't like the lace neck home shirt.
Sorry  :-[

We need the waistcoat back!!!

I remember going in the shop at the beginning of the following season and seeing a whole rack of those waistcoats on sale. Horrendous idea.

You know you're finally getting old when they release retro shirts first time around.  Though that probably already appeals to most of you old codgers on here ;)

My favourite was the dark blue AST computers one from about 96/97. Proper collars.
