Will the kids be given cardboard arrows and made to stand by the goals?

It's not a very popular event. Despite ignoring all the emails I had a phone call from the club today but my "juniors" are not interested at the moment.

Was going to go and force my lad along, but Monday just drained another bucketload of hope out of me and I can't be bothered now.

We'll go someone and have some fun.

Directions to the event:

Bodymoor Heath training ground. Head towards the cursed manor, turn left by the "Unlucky Thirteen" Pub. Go straight until you see the Haunted Burial Ground sign (which Bodymoor was built on top of). You will know the turn off because of the paramedic van just outside the gate loading in the latest injured player.

Well that ruins an already pretty unfunny joke on my part :(

Please note that turnstiles open at 9am with entertainment getting under way at approximately 9.15am. A stilt stunt team warm up act will perform to the crowd along with various crowd activities.

There will be plenty of one-day-only special offers for you to take advantage of, especially if you’re looking to do a bit of early Christmas shopping;

- 20% off everything in the Villa Park store including home shirts, training wear and the Aston Villa onesie*. Offer does not include products that are already discounted. Also, season ticket holders and Villa Cash members will earn a further 10% in Villa Cash.

- 20% off home match tickets including Spurs, Southampton and Leicester*.

- 20% off half season tickets*. Click here to find out more about half season tickets.

- £5 off a JV-Life junior membership*.  Click here to learn more about JV-Life.

- £5 off your food bill at Restaurant VMF*. Click here to find out more and browse the menu

You'll receive a leaflet on arrival through the turnstiles with full details of these offers. This season's poster book will also be on sale for £3.

Please be aware that due to the volume of people at Villa Park you may have to park a short walk from the stadium. Free parking will be available in the North Stand Car Park and Brookvale Car Park off Brookvale Road [B6 7DS]. There will be signs showing the direction to these car parks and more parking details can be found by clicking here.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, be sure to wrap up warm.

I scored seven goals last night at Futsal. Think I should pop down and show the lads the art of scoring.

At least our goalkeepers will finish training full of confidence, having not seen a single shot go past them.

Presumably temporary fencing will be erected around the pitch for the occasion to assure the safety of the players and management?
