Lower North stand keeping the ball
« on: August 31, 2014, 06:17:26 PM »
Let's stop this bollocks now, shall we? Wouldn't have been so funny if we'd conceded in the fifth minute of injury time added on because of it.

Well, yes, but it did break up any possible rhythm from Hull. And it was funny when a new ball was delivered so Elmohamady chucked the original ball back into the North Stand crowd for them to keep.

Agreed, I sit down by that corner and find it quite annoying.

Didn't chuck it back.  He booted it up into the top tier.  I agree with the OP though, shouldn't be happening.

Agreed. I was sat in the Holte wondering if I'd passed through a wormhole back into the 1970s.

Stupid morons almost cost us the game. I don't understand why it's supposed to be funny?

Also, I don't see why we can't have balls back instantly like what recently happened in the World Cup.

Newcastle fans were doing it last week, so I think we've basically copied it from them - not big or clever.

That the only funny bit when Elmohamady booted the other ball into the Upper North Stand, he should take up Rugby Union.

I was in with the Hartlepool supporters at a game at Cheltenham a few years ago. They kept the ball until an announcement was made that we wouldn't be allowed to leave the Waddon Road until we gave the ball back.

Lighten up. It's a football tradition. It's hardly cause for whinging.

Nothing wrong with it. Good laaarff and they should have more balls readily available. And Elmohamedy should have been booked for kicking the ball into the crowd.

Let's not worry about it  let's get more passionate about supporting the club, and let the authorities deal with it.

I thought it was funny and fair play to the Hull player that joined in and launched it into the top teir of the North Stand, a mention must also go to Darren Bent for joining in at the other end too...

I think sometimes life is taken a little too seriously. And yes I know that Hull might have scored, but it was mildly amusing.
