Could never understand the level of criticism he got.

Good luck to him.

No, nor me, he should have got far more!

He might not have been the best player we've ever had but he wasn't out of his depth.

700,000. Not sure if that's pounds or euro.

Not good enough with any regularity in this league.

Best of luck to him though.

We must have a player coming in then or we have very little cover.  He worked hard but was a nothing player. No loss. Get someone in who can makes difference.

We have already signed Sanchez and there seems to be enough 'smoke' to believe that the Cleverley link is serious. With Grealish also pushing for a place then it is probably the right time for all concerned.

Seemed a decent chap and a hard worker, never quite good enough. Good luck to him.

He was out of his depth. Not good enough for this level at all.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

He was easily one of the best we've ever had at slowing a game down.  Only problem with that was when we wanted to speed it up he just couldn't do it. Too easily robbed of possession, not a great passer of the ball either.  He did have his moments but sadly was never going to be anywhere near good enough.

Not the best player we've ever had, and I think his main problem with playing in England was the physicality of it, not a lack of ability.  Seems to me a good chunk of our better performances from last season were when he did well but as others have said these performances were few and far between.  Got more goals than Delph or Westwood in less minutes on the pitch as well, I'd bet.

He's a technically decent player but was one paced and too easily muscled off the ball. Simply not cut out for the Premier League but good luck to him. The Dutch league suits his style.
