No club stands out....more any team ever managed by Allardyce! Nearly always crap games with zero entertainment dictated by his horrible football mentality & all too often our complete inability to break it down

I enjoyed it the season before last at Villa Park when every time we broke away West Ham brought us down cynically, then when we won 2-1 Allardyce said "they won with a freekick and a penalty".

Yes, because you fouled us every time we attacked.

He's like a big kid, who can't take losing. Mind you, so are most managers.

Leeds - scummy fans but undeniably a very big club.

This debate always make me chuckle. I can never really look past Coventry being as I am, from Nuneaton. If pressed though, I would certainly add in this order: Leeds, blues, ( and Newcastle and Chelsea, whenever it happens.)

Bolton under Allardyce used to annoy the life out of me, with the gimps they would have running up and down with flags and stupid goal music, not to mention the special locals they had with their drums in the corner.

The more I think about this, the more clubs I add to my list - so I won't bother.

Obviously SHA is a big No.1 for me but unsure about Coventry. Good to see them struggling but we do miss the invariable 6 points a season!!

You do wonder if we'll struggle with the 6 points off Norwich each season. There's always Hull though.

Middlesbrough. Always remember them reacting to a defeat at Villa Park by singing "You're just a town full of (unpleasant racial epithet beginning with N)" in those dim and distant unenlightened days of , erm, 1987. Annoyingly good record against us as well. Haste ye not back.
They had a good brief spell in the 70s against us but generally their record is very poor against us. Only 6 wins in last 30 league meetings.
Also I can't really dislike them for Bosko Jankovic's heroics alone in 1981.

Teams that think Villa are bothered about them are quite annoying, so Coventry, Leicester and Stoke come into that category.

But you have to respect that Big Sam would never accept winning a game with a free kick and a penalty. As far as he is concerned it is only a deserved goal if it involves twenty or more passes and comes into the 'total football' category. If he ever won a game by set pieces alone he would do the decent thing and offer to replay the game. That is why he is so loved by the club's owners and fans.

Chelsea for the reasons well expressed by Andy, and West Ham.
The club and their fans have an undeserved reputation abroad, people even tend to think that they invented the claret and blue shirt whereas is well noticed thay they took the shirt from the Villa.
Plus, they always boast that their ground has something to do with Ann Boleyn, that is completely false.

Yeah I came across Luton when working as a steward at Morecambe a few years back, but of an ugly looking, rough and dumb bunch mostly..
