Villa Park floodlight refurbishment

I was reading this report yesterday and it makes mention of them putting lights on the roofs of the North Stand and Holte End, apparently it will be the 1st time there's ever been lights mounted in this fashion at the ends of the ground.

Am I just imagining it but didn't we have lights on the North Stand roof and the old Holte End roof back in the 90's? I'm sure we did because the gantries on the roof of the old Trinity were really poor

I think you are right.  I remember lights on the Holte and North Stand.

We did... all the way along the front of the North Stand... I'm not sure but it may have had something to do with the dismantling of the corner floodlight which was removed for the hotel that never got built in about 1988/89?
