Somebody mentioned Michael Bradley earlier.  Forgot all about him.

Well, i've read all 20 pages - and no-one has mentioned the lad who played up front alongside Sir Brian in that amazing Youth Team in 1972  - so i assume he qualifies as 'forgotten' ?

Tony Betts (left in the below pic with skipper Roy Stark and Jake Findlay)

And as added bonus, TB scoring a  "golden  goal" in a NASL playoff for Portland Timbers - from a  cross from a Villa Legend

I guessed wrong. When Portland Timbers and a Villa legend were mentioned I thought of Peter Withe.

I think I have forgotten quite of few of the players from around that time, especially the Lambert era. Bradley was brought in by McLeish though I think.

Bradley was brought in by Houllier... he was part of his Surrender Team at Man City in the Cup.

I thought the two on the right were John Major and Jeff Lynne.

Didnt realise until I looked it up that Findlay played 14 times for us.  He was also on the books of 3 other teams after leaving Luton without ever making an  appearance.  Good  money if you can get it.

I can't be bothered trawling back over twenty pages but surely Malcolm Allen and Alan Mcloughlin have been mentioned. It might even have been me who mentioned them. Having been at Witney Town in pre season 1991 and Highfield Road for the ZDS cup game a few months later my claims to fame are saying I have seen Ivo Stas play for us and score at Witney and Alan Mcloughlin play in a Villa shirt at Coventry. Along with seeing George Best in a Villa shirt at Villa Park. A lesser claim to fame is seeing Doug Ellis in a brief cameo playing appearance in a Villa shirt at Villa Park. Sadly he didn't execute his famous bicycle kick on that occasion.
