The England (non) selection is quite an important factor with regards Jack’s future at Villa considering he’s publicly stated he wants to play for England and the longer it goes with him being overlooked, the more chance he may get his head turned by a top 6 club. Let’s face it, if he played for Spurs or Chelsea he’d have been capped by now.

Plus, on a personal level I feel sorry for him missing out on this squad considering there’s no more international matches for the next 4 months so his chances of playing in a ‘home’ tournament next summer could be slipping away.

Yes, Southgate doing us no favours although Jacks injury would have kept him out anyway.

So what's new?  Are you suggesting Grealish wants to be the new Rodwell?

No. Just pointing out that the squad is getting thinner by the day!

I think Jack is the only one who wants him anywhere near the England set up

Leave that to the "big club" fancy dans and let him concentrate on our / his club

So, reports that Jack is set to resume training later this week? Do we believe it, or by the end of next week he's still only 50-50 to make the Newcastle game? Sorry, but I'm still sceptical after last season.

Who gives a shit?

The priority is getting him fit and ready for the Newcastle game

Err Jack Grealish does.
Amazes me not respect his ambitions
Its the same with people not getting that Jack Grealish actually recognizes and wants to be more of a goal threat.

"Personally I want to get myself into the England team and finish with as many goals and assists as possible"

That's Jack's aim for this season.
Clearly wants to do all those things

He'll probably demand a wage increase if he gets in the squad. The bastard.
This means we already have lost him, and should not let him play again.

God knows!  We desperately need him back, as he makes everybody else in the team 20% better at least.  I really wouldn't be surprised if he's missing again though.
