Whatever happens and whoever manages him next, we could have lost him for next to fuck all a couple of months ago. Some of the misery arse comments are a tad depressing.

Thought he was wasted on the left wing

Still think he's wasted on the left wing, he needs to play in the middle behind the striker

Iím surprised that no one has mentioned that according to OS Jack has signed a 5 year contract today- surely that is good news even if it means that we can get top dollar for him should he tire (perish the thought) of playing Bruceball.

Mentioned on the last page, squire.

Good news, if only to preserve his value but he needs to push on now and be the main man without his on-field mentors Snodgrass and Terry

Wonder what he's been told behind the scenes regarding FFP and all that?

I can't believe he's signed a new deal just so we can flog him in January or more likely next summer, that would be worse than Delph for me.

More or less my first thoughts when I heard he'd signed as well.

Why would it be worse then Delph?  He gets a pay rise and the club gets a good fee.  It's pretty standard stuff and far more gracious of the player rather than letting their contract run down.  There will undoubtedly be buy out clauses but the sale will now be on our terms.

I might be in a majority of one but at the moment I would consider dropping him until we have a coach who can actually play him to his strengths. Completely wasting his talent playing where numpty wants him to be out wide and is only there because Bruce cannot think of anything else but knows the fans would be even more on his back if Jack was left out.

In the mean time Jacks form will drop as he is out of position and all the great work JT did on him to be positive will be lost

If the current manager can't drop him because fans would be on his back and a new manager wouldn't drop him because he'd play him in the right place, who would make the decision?!

Because of Purslow building it up as he'll lead us back to the premier league. I think once we get back there he'll be our captain so that would be a big feel good story.

I'd rather have that than us just selling him for a quick buck which we could've obviously done last summer.

Thought he was wasted on the left wing

Silly boy, thought he'd matured.

of course if McGinn has a cracking season he could be the one to be sold at a big FFP friendly profit?
