There are pros and cons to him being out left. When we play him in middle trio at start of the season with two wide players we were far too open and teams were playing through us too easily.

Given Jota has completely disappeared from the 18 we don't really have another player in the squad who can start out wide and drift in to make it a narrower midfield. Maybe a diamond would work better but that would mean two up front.

Let's see how it plays out v Southampton and Norwich at least. They are below us for a reason.

Thought ref on occasions left him to fry rather than protect him against the fouls only 3 awarded to him.

Nah, think the ref pretty much got it right.

Peter Banks was commonly offensive.
A very inexperienced musicial conductor of a ref . That is he ruins the star of the ballet Grealish. He had no interest in a fair game for him.
The fact is the official went and had a word with Grealish after Sam Baldock blatantly shoved him in the back , a clear push to the fall, no foul let a lone card.  Yet Banks only goes and pulls Grealish aside and starts talking to him on how to perform.

Banks also missed the Hand ball and waved away arrogantly the protests.
Thankfully VAR did it's job and after being Verified by VAR the PK was given
Apparently Dean Smith suggest an encroachment situation for the pen but Banks hasn't given a re take.

Banks deserve little to no credit for me. And I'm not on charge of finance or the officials

I said if Wes plays then he should have a fun time and grab a few goals.
Similarly Grealish could totally out a master class on.
They won't get near him
Probably unfair to play Jack however if he does expect him to be between a Neymar to Messi type performance

Banks gave what he saw; is all.
He's not there to choreograph Grealish.
Yes, the shove in the back happened but so did JG's theatrical response (as I saw it; being way down at the other end).

I think Banks made a few mistakes, there was a clear push on Grealish and I can't believe it was missed, the handball was, for me, obvious and shouldn't have needed so long to be given and I disagree with the Hause booking, both players went with their feet up but because Hause got there first they get a free kick and he gets a yellow card.

It was clearly a shove on Grealish's back. Totally agree with the post above

Incidentally I don't think I've ever seen that Fulham one before, assume we lost...

Was it not the game we lost 3-1? Think Kodjia got sent off early on.

Probably too late to request Jack's fetching ensemble for my Christmas, now...
