Gareth Southgate will be at our game today. Hope Jack puts on a 5 star show for him and us.

England are now a force to be reckoned with, it would be great for Jack if he was part of that, both for player, club and country.

Not sure he stated his claim very strongly today, one of his quieter games of late.

Pretty good first half, not so much in the second.

Much like the rest of the team.

I felt he was carrying a knock second half. Very good first half, faded with McGinn 2nd half.

Agreed. He didn’t dominate the game that as a potential PL/International player you’d hope would do. That said he was efficient and tidy. He’s had much better games. He’ll have much better games.

I think the last 30 minutes showed just how important he is to the team.  When his standard of play goes down a notch, the whole team seems to suffer and finds it hard going.

Agree Risso, that's how I saw it, but the majority of them looked knackered during the last ten minutes. I was in the upper Holte so I couldn't tell, was it hot at "pitch level ?"

I'm not sure if Jack was off the boil or carrying a knock in the second half, or if it was due to Mowbray changing things up...but I did notice Jack wasn't controlling the game like he was in the first half...we sat back, stood off them and stopped the high press. We're obviously a much better team when Jack is on point, but I'm not sure the second half today was due to Jack not playing at his best.

Also, what was with Mings and Hause going down with synchronised cramp in the second half? Was that just buying time or were a number of players out there actually blowing out their arse?

I also think he was carrying a knock and should have been subbed far earlier, he wasn’t moving freely at all and wasn’t involved regularly. I’d guess at a back injury.

I've said a few times, had Jack been fit the whole tie this season we would safely be in the top 2.  He's head and shoulders above any other player in the league.

I've said a few times, had Jack been fit the whole tie this season for all the games since Dean Smith arrived we would safely be in the top 2. He's head and shoulders above any other player in the league.
