I haven't been on the abbots or the weed but I'm actually looking forward to being there tomorrow which is the first time in a very long time.. like the man said."would you bet against us ".  Nope..but then again I haven't risked too much betting on us.

2-2 or 4-1 to us.

It's been a very strange week with so many unexplainable things happening, why not a Villa home win to cap the week off.

4-1 it is.

Think our new "potential" owners could threaten to buy Southampton and turn it into a wind farm if they do not let us win !!! 1-0 Bacuna ........

Kind of hoping the Southampton manager and some of their star players are already planning their summer activities. They have had some strange results lately which suggests a lack of focus. Though they have players that could walk through us at will if we turn up like we did for any of the last few games. I think after the antics last week it will be a fired up Villa team from the start so should be a good game. Steven Davis is one MON erred in letting go imo, he played outstanding against us in the away game. He will need watching.

Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bertrand, Bacuna, Westwood, Delph, Albrighton, Holt, Gabby. 44facking2  Not sure if we even have other options - Baker, Bennett, KEA, Weimann, Tonev, Bowery - yikes

1-0 to the Villa. Holt with a late winner

After losing last weekend, one thing I'm sure about is the Southampton team won't be on the beach.

We'll still win but it will be a tough game.

I hope people don't think this is a must win game, cod I really would be surprised if we win!

Also interesting to note that I think we'd all agree they are a much better team than us at the moment. They have spent big on a handful of players but actually Ramirez, Wanyama and that Italian fwd back at juve haven't really been keen players. Otherwise their team is made up of "a bunch of lower league players, youth team graduates and cheap signings". It's the model that we've been most obviously trying to follow and they've shown it can work.  The main differences are

- they've obviously got a much better youth set up for one reason or another
- they've managed to start the journey in the reduced pressure of the lower leagues
- they've crucially managed to get in better creative players. We don't really have one who's done it, they've got lallana, shneiderlin, Ramirez, even lambert and Rodriguez

I think they've done a brilliant job and hope they manage to keep onto their best players for a bit longer.
