Well good luck. I fear it is a disaster in the making, but what the hell. Maybe just maybe the players will get some kind of bounce out of it.

I think we only need to bounce to one more win and we'd stay up.  Moreso this moves suggests that the clubs rulers will not accept the level of performance that we have seen over this season.  Admittedly most - myself included - would prefer to see Lambert gone too, but this is a move in the right direction.  Not to mention a good way of reducing any compensation due.

Really?  It can't get any worse.  Can it?

Yeah it could get worse. But I dont want to shit up the positive vibes thread. Lets hope that Cowans ability to weave a web of mastery in midfield can translate to the first team. Hopefully he and Shay will get a nice roar of support.

We'll if it does get worse, we'll know whose fault it is and I don't mean Sid or Shay.

The players "enjoyed training today more than they had in months".

i met david platt just off tottenham court road two weeks ago and shook his hand thanked him for everything he did for the villa etc and he said that we need VILLA men on the coaching staff just like it was when brian little was in charge.
always remember when he said years ago his one ambition in life was to make a run into the box that gordan cowans didnt see.
good luck sid but is this lamberts final throw of the dice ??

Well well, interesting news. Many have said all ain't well somewhere.  If they are the poison then good riddance and I personally think that promoting given just shows Lambert is not that stubborn and is willing to learn, change and do whatever to make it work here.

All the best of luck to Sid, Given and the rest of the coaching staff. Lambert being more hands of makes perfect sense to me. Why managers these days feel no need to be there with the team during the week is madness.

I'm quite excited again now .

Sound good, and let get Martin Laursen and a former striker (John Carew or Dean Saunders) in for new look coaching staff with grooming Martin Laursen as successor. Brian Little should be director of football.
