Lawyers are losers.  Well, 50% of them are.
What planet have you come from omvf? They all win and ones who lose the case usually earn more than the other side.

I appreciated Hollis's statement. Explained why there is no new manager and kept us as up to date on the club sale as he can.

I'm quite impressed with Hollis to be fair and I think this is a good statement.  I also feel things are close and we'll hear something concrete at the end of the season.

Since he's been in charge we've not spent a penny in January, sacked a manager, appointed and lost two directors in farcical circumstances, and got relegated. Not all his fault by any means but I'm nor sure there's much to be impressed with.

Quite.

Call me sceptical, but I'll wait till I see the slightest semblance of a reason to proclaim Hollis up to the job before I start dishing out the plaudits.

As you said, on his watch we've had a disgusting, shameful January surrender, the hanging out to dry of a manager, the resignation of two extremely respected men, and the immediate downscaling of pretty much everything to do with the club as if we've just been waiting for an excuse to be as small time as we've been acting for the last several years.

Until I see him do something that makes me think he knows what he's doing, he's staying in the same bin as the other idiots for me.

Absolutely! He has done nothing to impress. Quite the opposite.

I've been in a Re-education Camp overnight atoning for my previous comments by learning the value of manual labour. I love Big Brother.

I assume Richard that you now see yourself as reborn Winston Smith genuflecting obediently to Big Brother.  Move one rung up the ladder and have all your teeth pulled out and live on a diet of minced fish sausage.

As for Hollis I am firmly in the Paulie camp.  I have seen nothing whatsoever positive happening at the club since he came.  A stream of negativity that has moved on to a provocative manager in the exact image of Lambert at his worst, massive job losses of humble people and the planned closure of part of the stadium.

Hollis is the knacker man, nothing more than that on all current evidence.

An Asset stripper doing Randys Bidding.
Downscale, prepare the business for sale. I have been there and seen it happen before.
The Jan surrender, shafting Remi and not supporting fellow directors against the Boss.
Lovely.

Indeed, but he's done it well though if that was his job hasn't he?

If you wanted to be totally cynical you could be forgiven for wondering just how Bernstein and King's e mails got to Lerner.

The final judgement on Hollis, probably the only one that matters, will be made on who owns the club going into next season. A good sale will justify his methods but anything else will add him to the growing list of failures both on and off the pitch.

This. He has made some good and some poor decision. The poorest was to do nothing in January and not back Garde.

Agree Chris but my view is that the ownership change is predominantly a question of who but there is a big element of how the change of ownership goes forward.  My loyal support for the club has been, and continues to be threatened by how things are done at Villa Park.

If next season shows that little has changed fundamentally despite new names on documents in lawyers' filing cabinets, I shall walk away.

It's a difficult job evaluating new owners.  Who'd have thought that a group of Thai duty free peddlers would turn Leciester City into the most unlikely Premier League champions ever?

When you think back to early Lerner years he seemed the perfect owner. The infrastructure was being worked on, the manager was backed, we did our bit and more for the community. Ellis must have sat back and thought it was the perfect deal for him and the club. Who would have thought back then what a complete mess it's turned into.
