It's all gone a bit Beano vs Dandy hasn't it.

Only a Dandy twat would say that. Outside, now.

I nominate Glenn P as moderator for TBAR. And for here. And everywhere else. Then we'd have some fun.

I haven't left here, I just like having a drink in different pubs now and then.

For what it's worth, I like TBAR and I'm having nothing to do with any squabbling between sites. As far as I'm concerned, Dave Woodhall is somebody I have a lot of respect for and I've spent most of my Villa forum time in his cyber gaff down the years.

We even had a bit old throwing people down stairs banter on there the other day.  They were the days.

I signed up over there, using my own/same name as on here. It's just like having a new local boozer open a few doors away from your existing boozer.

I love you all, H&V has felt like my home for nearly a decade and that won't change. Nothing wrong with having a holiday home though.

You're dead to me

Other forums only bring bad things in my opinion. I was a member of mumsnet for a short while now cannot look a courgette in the face without suffering sphincter spasms.

I remember giving Maz Junior a race in my youth. The smell of leather, the smack of willow on grease. Just brings it all back. A tear in my eye, as I recall the day on Chester Road when the crowd - it must have numbered 20, no 30 - watched and cheered as I, the young Seb Coe, raced Maz, known throughout Erdington as Chelsea Kent.

Ready, steady, go...! The crowd breathed in. They breathed out. People sniffed and looked to their kin, knowing now, more than ever before, was a chance to see two sporting titans battle across the regal tarmac of Aston town. We looked to each other, almost sexually, as the excitement exploded around us. I did a small urine. But I kept my cool as the race began.

And then, almost instantly, it was over. Maz Junior and I raced so quickly that time stood still. Everyone cheered. Maz cheered. I fucking cheered. A draw. An honourable draw. A bastard beautiful day. And not a dry eye in the public toilets.

I bet you don't get stuff like that on TBRA.

I've got to say, much like villa talk, I quite like TBAR. I think mainly because they are all onboard with the rumours and it offers a glimmer of hope that something better is coming...I've been worn down for so long by having no success that it's nice to have a bit of excitement again...like reading a tabloid paper if you like. After the initial furour dies down they will find their place in the online villa community....it's probably not worth the old boys club going to war over is it? Let's get back to supporting the club. UTV

I see this point of view. We're far less likely to get carried away here on H&V and I'll admit the prospect of being excited about the club once again is very appealing. I just really really hope it's not a false dawn as then we'll be more depressed than before.

Here at H&V we know how to ringfence and manage our Villa depression :)

Typical Beano wanker, acting the hard man behind his computer screen.
