This being Villa, you don't believe anything good until moments after it's actually happened. But I'm prepared to wait and see. One thing's for sure, it can't go on like it has. Randy's a nice bloke with good intentions, but he's bitten off more than he can chew with Villa.

I'm suprised that most are willing to believe that Culverhouse and Karsa were the reason things are so bad at Villa, a handy couple of scapegoats thats the way i see it. Maybe they were disliked, we've all had that at work but you still get the job done. Who gets the blame if Southampton turn us over? the boot studder probably (do they still have those)?
I hope we have potential buyers in the background  because the people we have running the club at the moment are incompetent.

On the one hand, both the Guardian and Telegraph articles have no more info than can be gleaned from a quick glance at The Biscuits Are Reallyhappytobethereit'sagreatplacetobe so could easily just have been lifted from there.

However Lambert's Murphy interview seemed to suggest that it's irrelevant what his working relationship with Lerner is like. To paraphrase, 'regardless of football, he's a good man and I'll always think so'. I can't see him thinking that about someone who's about to fuck him off, but it could be different if Lerner's fucking off and so Lambert has to too.

Sounds like there'll be a part(y r)ing of the ways on some level in the summer.

Investment might not need be a sale though. Fair play to Lerner if he can persuade someone to put money in. Renaming of Villa Park?

The Telegraph wouldn't be running a story like that unless there was something in it. Matt Law is well connected and a Villa man. Something is obviously happening. Let's hope it's still happening in the summer. Things have got to change - and I don't mean by having a stint in the lower divisions again.

News must be slow for those papers to be writing stories from Twitter and a little fans website. I await many I told you so posts, but if we stay up, I would bet on Lerner being here this time next season.

I strongly doubt the Ellison rumour. For fun, unless it sails, flies or wears a skirt he is not interested.
