My Dad - David Edwards
« on: May 01, 2014, 10:33:40 PM »
7 years ago today my father passed away aged 71. He reckoned he started taking me to the Villa aged about 2 or 3. Its odd but really the first players I can remember seeing are Charlie George and Malcom McDonald. One of my first faves was Tommy Craig....he soon put me right.

I shared 77 all 3 games, my first night game was Barca in 77, all the home games when we won the league and all the home games when we won the european trophy. He also made me go to all the home games when we got relegated....all from the holte end.

Sorely missed x

I had a Dad like that, he passed away about 5 seasons ago. He took me as a five year old and we went to the games you describe.

He was the most optimistic Villa Fan ever, he would have been totally relaxed about this weekends fixture.

I miss him of course, but I have no regrets about him, all was said and all was known.
