Thank you all for filling it out. Over 100 responses in 48 hours is brilliant. Some very interesting answers, and some even more interesting drink choices...
If anyone wants a pint you will find me in the library all day every day for the next 2 weeks!

I drunk a pint of dry white wine at the play off final between Cheltenham and Rushden years ago.

A glass of white was about 2 quid according to the offers board in the pub before the game. Unfortunately, they were only serving in plastic pots on account of the wanton destruction the known hooligans of both sides were likely to cause.

They only had plastic pints left and the barmaid wasn't bright enough to use a measuring tumbler thing.

The young lady that became the less than proud owner of a pint of wine wouldn't touch it so I swapped for my pint of Carling.

Done - make mine a  Gold Label Barley Wine - that gives away my age !!!

A good choice VCTM, one I used to drink in Nottingham. It's a sort of alcoholic short cut to a feeling of merriment without the need to take on volume. Especially useful if arriving late at a drinking session it will allow you to get to where others are quickly and without too much mess.

Do pubs still stock it?

If you go on to the Timothy Taylors web site they list the pubs that serve TT Landlord nationally. However it is worth checking as sometimes it gets a little out of date.

Not seen it sold in a pub for yonks - I get my supply from either Tesco or my local offy who seems to be able to get me any drink I desire including Metaxa 7 star at a decent price.
