The future of the manager
« on: February 23, 2014, 04:10:37 PM »
As I posted in one of the match threads.
I really wanted Lambert to be the manager who sorted us out and gave the club some stability.  Looking at the last few months of results I think we are going to be very lucky to avoid the drop for the third season running so something has to change.
I have tried to be positive and have given the manager as much support as I could. What can we change at this moment in time?
Not the owner.
Not the players.
The manager is the only thing we can change, so is it time to sack Lambert and get someone else in? If we do sack him who could we get in that would be an improvement?
Sadly I think we need to take the chance and find someone else, wonder what Gary McAllister is up to?

He's needs to be gone now before it's too late. He is clearly not up to the job intellectually.

I noticed Ronald koeman saying he would love a crack at the premiership - doubt randy even knows who he is though .
As for lambert , I just cannot see him turning things around , if we survive under him this season I think we would struggle again next season until he finally gets the sack - get rid!

I give it ten minutes before this thread is locked. But yes I say sack him. But the board is culpable as well. Get a new manager in, things might be no different if there is no ambition from the board.

2 wins in 13, where's the next one coming from?
6 weeks ago I said stick with him, now, he has to go at the end of the season, just not good enough.

I'm still undecided but am spending more time looking into yes garden these days and thinking they have quite a nice lawn and i'd like to play on it. The other garden I just look up in the air to try and see where Guzan has hoofed it.

I think it's an evolving situation so don't see why the thread should be locked - peoples opinion can change the more games they see .

Wanted him to be our Moyes. But it is just not happening. Thatsaid, our problems are way more fundamental than the manager.

The club is just not working and needs an urgent evaluation. There is so much paralysis and no leadership.

I'm leaving it open at the moment but am tempted to just merge the three Lambert threads.

No doubt that he should be fired immediately.

This doesn't need it's own thread, does it?

Use the contract one. One thread about his new contract and another about his future - it's the same discussion.

I'll rename it if it helps.
