Lambert coming onto the pitch at the and telling the players to applaud the fans after a dismal 0-0 draw against the might of Southampton. What a desperate loser.
The sooner he's out of our club the better.

I'd like to go on record, that yesterday was my final straw. I'd like to see him moved on.

It was a appalling display - the first half was one of the worst I've ever seen from a Villa team in all my years.
This is what our "young and hungry" policy has given us.

I agree and would like to go on record, video, DVD, recording studio and everything else.

You don't deserve to go down unless you finish in the bottom three.

Criticising the manager for applauding the fans?

A touch strong in describing him as a desperate loser but his position is severely compromised. I believe he no longer has the authority over dressing room.

Absolutely. He's fooling no one.

He's been made to look as weak as water this week. He's allowed his two right hand men to be sacked yet he's still in a job! If he had any class or decency he'd resign. Instead he sits there waiting for the sack and a nice payout.
He's a stain on this club - and yesterday's dreadful performance just about sums him up.

He's always done that. I understand a lot of the criticism levelled at him but not for reminding the players to acknowledge the support

It was a tough week, a tough game, and the fans were very good during the game so perhaps he felt that this 'we're all in this together' feeling would deserve and survive a few handclaps. For all the things he's done in the job, I find this one of the very least objectionable.

What is objectionable though was his the way he seemed quite upbeat about the performance and result in the after match interview. Well, about as upbeat as he can get anyway. If you're pleased with that yesterday Mr Lambert i don't think you should be in charge for the next game, let alone next season.

Don't agree with this whats he supposed to say that we were terrible and that most of our players are not very good, i can't wait for him to leave but he has to remain positive even if we are not.

It was an acknowledgement that the fans stayed with the team pretty much and didn't get on his or the players backs.

I don't have a problem with him doing that. The players should show their appreciation whatever the result.

To be fair, Lambert has already been saying that we are not where we would like to be.  He knows we are rubbish. Also, to not applaud the fans, when he knows and we know, we are watching complete dross, would be plain rude and rebound even more on him.  He doesn't have the creativity or the imagination or the ability to turn this ship around. I want him gone once the season has finished.

I not so sure. It looked to me that he was out there celebrating a point.
