Wore my Champions of Europe shirt tonight.
But it was as a second layer of four!
(Top layer - a Villa winter coat - £5 from the end of season sale.)
Bargain!
At my age I ain't gonna buy another one!
Never wear my Villa shirts out - only to Villa games, home and away.
Wear Villa socks every day to work - family buy me loads - every Christmas!
Wear claret and blue shirt/tie combo every day for work - never the same on consecutive days - and no club ties. eg: pale blue shirt, claret tie.
TBH, quite classy.
Some people notice. Others just think I'm sartorially elegant!
UTV!

Maybe 2 days out of 7 in a week. Mixture of responses, some good, some bad. I like wearing the older shirts to show I've been around a while ha ha

Living in Manchester, I do take great pride in putting my shirt on after a win, and taking it on a walk through town after a win. I live in the city centre if anyone was wondering.

It was especially delightful on doing so the day after we beat City. Actually if have to admit to getting back from the City game and putting my shirt on for a walk to tesco that evening!

Scarf is on with my suit this morning. Still buzzing!!!

We wear the glow-in-the-dark tops for when we go cycling -very practical, as well as cool (in the temperature rather than fashionista sense).

However I wore a 94/95 home shirt to Glastonbury this year and people were either shaking my hand, complimenting me on the shirt or having lengthy discussions about footy.

I met a guy at Glastonbury in the stripey Muller shirt! Think it was watching Jake Bugg - was it you?  :o

I think they're an absolutely brilliant thing, one of the top aspects of modern thing. It just seems to symbolise a unity between the team and the fans, and particularly in summer, look ace as the ground is literally a sea of claret and Blue.

This picture comes to mind as an example, I'm not sure it'd be such an iconic image without all the fat blokes wearing the Macron.

Agree a great image. The look of sheer pleasure on the faces of the fans is what makes the picture so special n my view. Not sure the villa shirts adds anything

Would add that im not in the picture but my face was similarly ecstatic when AW scores

I had tickets for that game but had to give them up as I was moving into Aston uni that day and felt like I had to spend some time with my flatmates.

What a fool I was.

Whilst I agree with that, I would point out that it is not literally a sea of claret and blue  :)

First Villa shirt I ever bought was the lime green away shirt last season for a tenner. Wear it occasionally for cycling, nice bright colour, and occasionally at the gym when the rest of my kit is going mouldy in the bottom of sports bag.

I managed to get my pic on the OS at Glastonbury in a Villa T shirt (not a replicashirt) & my Stan mask, after I tweeted it with a AVFC hashtag.

I high fived a vIlla fan in a toilet queue in Dairy ground - was it either of you?

I never wear the shirt, but I've got some Villa-related t-shirts - my favourite being the one with McGrath written across the top and his face beneath it, which I wear during the summer. It's funny when I notice people looking at it and thinking, 'why does that picture ring a bell from somewhere?'.

Last summer I saw a lad wearing a Villa top outside of the supermarket, so went straight over to him, shook his hand and asked him whether he followed the Villa as I'd never seen a Villa shirt around town before, to which he replied that he didn't and that it had been given to him as a gift. Didn't really seem to know much about it, which made me look a bit of tit.

Got the European 82 winning shirt fully signed by the whole squad, I wear it on the night of the 26th may every year I know that sounds cheesy but I just can't help slipping it on and let my mind drift back all those years to that night in Rotterdam
