I've gone into a sulk now that Ding is out. Hopefully anyone but the twat O'Sullivan or the fixer Higgins will win it. There's also something I dislike about Selby but I don't know what. Can somebody tell me something horrible about him so I have a proper reason to dislike him please?

Also, an idea Smirker if you don't mind... would it be worth editing the thread title to just "Snooker in 2014" so we can talk about all the tournaments in it rather than having separate threads? If you think that's a good idea, if not... ignore me.

Good idea. I'll try, if not a mod can sort it.

Yes, as long as Ronnie is about any snooker is worth watching, shame Jimmy White can't make the top 32.

I never thought Robertson would turn in to such a top player.

Shame about Judd going out first round.  The kid has unbelievable talent, seems he has lost his focus in the last year or so.

(I say kid, he's only two years younger than me!)

There's ... something I dislike about Selby but I don't know what.
With you there! No idea why, though!

I really dislike Trump - I think it's because he seems to wing it so much and, due to his natural ability,  he gets away with it a bit too often. It's a jittery match between Hawkins and Walden, at the moment!

Went to the crucible last year. In the bar after the evening session, Selby and his wife came down and spent ages signing autographs and taking pics with fans. Only player I saw do that over the 2 days we were there.

Selby's a gentleman,  by all accounts! I've no reason to dislike him at all. I'm ashamed of myself!

That is a bit crap but not as bad as Anthony "the Robin Hood of Snooker" Hamilton who earned his nickname because he's from Nottingham and, errr... that's it.
