If the Premier League title was literally a title belt and worked in the same way as wrestling and changed hands upon a win against the holder, we'd be the current holders after recently winning the title off Sunderland.Records of all title holders dating back to 1993 here.I'll organise the open-top bus parade.
Completely pointless but quite entertaining. I can't believe someone worked all that out.

Say if a team gain the Premier belt on the last day of season but are relegated anyway would they hold it until they return to the top division and lose a game?
