Have we ever played at St James' Park at 3pm on a Saturday?
Last occurred in 1996.
3/12/2005 was a Saturday 3pm game.

Probably 95% of all fixtures prior to this were also 3pm, such was the way it was.

Just annoyed the Cardiff game is midweek, really wanted to tick that ground off the list. Oh well maybe next season.

The Cardiff game is still on the same night, Tuesday 11th February and live on BT Vision.

The Newcastle game is now on Sky at 5.30pm on Saturday 22nd February but could get moved to the day after at 1.30pm subject to Sky's Champions League scheduling.

I wished they would make their minds up and stick to it rather than all this could be moved due to champions league crap .

I don't understand what impact the CL has on it. Is one of the CL teams currently in the 1.30 Sunday slot?
That's it. At the moment CP v Manu is scheduled for Sunday 23/2 1.30 slot however if manu are scheduled to play a CL game on Tuesday than CP v Manu will be moved back to Saturday. CL round of 16 first legs are scheduled for 25/26 February.

Didn't we play them on the opening day or early on in the season on a Saturday - i remember we won 1-0 , I think Joachim scored .

Also remember drawing 1-1 there on a Saturday. 3 pm when Sorensen saved a shearer pen.

Think the 3-0 win was 3pm too when bowyer and dyer were fighting.

Yeah, but why didn't Barry take the penalty?

Yeah, but why didn't Barry take the penalty?

Because he was on the Grassy Knoll with Lord Lucan

Newcastle now the Sunday 1:30pm kick off.

Quote
Villa's televised match with Newcastle has switched.

Man Utd's away match at Olympiakos in the Champions League will be played on Tuesday February 25.

This has the effect of switching the Crystal Palace v Man Utd match to the live Saturday evening kick-off for Sky Sports - Saturday February 22, kick-off 5.30pm.

That also has the knock-on of moving our match with Newcastle to the Sunday afternoon game for Sky Sports - Sunday February 23, kick-off 1.30pm.

Maybe, just maybe, there will be a time in the future when we play them on a Saturday. No wonder we always take a shit following up there.

I presume there'll be free coaches put on which might bump up the numbers but that's a ridiculous time for such a long journey.

Maybe, but we may not be in the same division.
