Having read comments about this guy from various posters in various topics it seems like a lot are pinning their hopes on him being some kind of lynch pin for our defence next season - a lot of pressure to bear on a new signing - but is he all that? Only time will tell - I hope he lives up to the hype.

He's looked good every time I've seen him play. He & Vlaar will be fine together.

Any updates on this fella? I take it he won't be ready until next season now...?

I heard a rumour today that Jores has been fit for some time but likes playing and training with the kids so much that he has refused to play/ train with the first team. At least that's what I am going to post over on TBAR. Just kidding.

He appears to have turned into Villa's designated signed-programme-presenter / charity-cheque-accepter

Me and the missus saw him drive into the VP car park before the Stoke game. We wondered if he was an unexpected addition to the bench, and then he appeared at half-time making a little speech.

Formal shoes with tracksuit bottoms? Surely that's what fines were invented for.
