There used to be some mean slow handclaps and stomps of the feet back in the trinity - really let the players know how angry fans were - a few boos is nothing  in comparison.

Booing should be reserved for Downing.

Booing should be reserved for Downing.
Also for anyone who would take him back.

Hardly. All he said was

"You can hear the crowd getting edgy and that is the last thing you want, but credit to the players they battled and they were very, very good,"

Think he also said "it's one thing playing at home but you need the crowd right with you"

Bit harsh on the support I felt.

Why is that harsh? Booing your own side does nothing but heap more pressure on.

How many boo'd ? A tiny percentage out of 33000 villa fans. After 7.5 hours without a goal it's understandable but the vast majority didn't boo and were great again yesterday. Great turnout and support so Mr Lambert needs to think before having a pop at the home support.

I don't think there's an issue with the fans, with lamberts comments on the fans , or with people booing at half time - during the game the crowd were supportive of the team - I have seen fans really turn especially in the mid 80s and yesterday was nothing more than a few venting their frustration - no big issue to be made about it .

We're discussing the issue because it is relevant. If you don't agree that its relevant, then fine.

No booing by me (LH), I heard a bit from the upper tier but it can only have been a few people and I think more is being made of it than needs to be. By highlighting it makes it appear that it was a major issue when it wasn't, just a few people who don't really get it.

None where I was I sitting in P6, either, though I could hear it well enough.
Which part of the ground was it coming from in the main?
