The thief was not necessarily a Villa fan. It could have been an opportunistic local.

The odds are against it.

Does it matter who stole it, or who it was stolen from? A thief is a thief, surely?

Exactly.

On the bright side, Percy, didn't you mention once that your Blackberry didn't render this site very well - especially spoiler tags?

Better off without it, if so.

Also on the bright side Percy, annoying as it is, you sound like you have a sense of perspective over it, and aren't letting it fester and cause yourself unnecessary grief that won't make the phone magically reappear.

Thanks for the kind words all. No sign of the phone but it's no use to anyone now and they can't look at my photos at least.

Perspective: I was cursing my phone the other day when I was entranced by a particularly interesting debate on here and my little girl nearly ran in the main road. Also, friend's funeral the other week, another riddled with cancer, and I'm watching Stephen Ireland in a non-Villa shirt. So all in all, things could be a lot worse, and are for many.

Christ, the one seller I hoping it wasn't was Percy. Not for some deep man love type thing, but if the culprit is ever found I fear thatPercy isn't the person you'd want on your tail.

A fellow fan in the lower Holte lost his phone down at the front of the aisle during the Bacuna celebration - it had popped out of his pocket and someone must have pocketed it. He spent the rest of the half searching frantically instead of enjoying the win. What a shame.

The next time I am out and about and hear a ringtone with any Paul Weller connections it will be difficult not to jump to conclusions and take the law into my own hands.

I'd imagine the thief will be going underground to avoid retribution.

I saw a teenager in the supermarket with a phone with a STYLE COUNCIL COVER on it.

I didn't really, I was just imagining how ANGRY I'd be (on Percy's behalf) if I did.

Bit naughty paulie, it must be the bitterest pill to swallow having had a phone stolen , hope he had a record of his precious  contacts backed up, I expect the thief will try to sell it  somewhere in the city .
