Squad Photo
« on: September 17, 2013, 05:53:59 PM »
The new squad photo is up on the OS. 24 players and 21 backroom staff, including Lambert. Also no Given (I think he was named in the 25) and if there was any doubt about his future at the club, no Nzogbia.

He probably picked up another injury on his way to the photo-shoot.

Almost as many staff. Can none of them coach how to defend?!

Expect us not to get any money for N'Zogbia and get landed with covering most of his wages as he goes out on-loan for the next couple of years. Great.

Not impressed by the treatment of N'Zogbia - rather see him in the photo than KEA. N'Zogbia can unlock a defence with his trickery - our midfield doesn't score and looks far too one dimensional.

Since 2010 it's been as though we are seeking some sort of Guinness Book of Record spot as the club that made the most wasteful transfers.

It's depressing to think of the money we have spent on such crap for such a shocking return. In fact it damn near relegated us and has left us with  an average of what, six home wins a season.

N'Zog is a very talented footballer. I wish he applied himself properly to his trade.

He might be talented but he's also very frustrating. He can dribble but doesn't get his head up often enough to see passes, takes the ball too far or chooses the wrong pass. Even when he had a run of a few games, he couldn't last the full 90 minutes. He also has problems keeping injury-free. Not good for a top earner at the club. At least we have adopted an approach where we identify young talent, pay them a modest wage whilst they prove themselves and then reward them when it's justified - like Benteke.

When fit he would always be in my eighteen. He is someone who can change a game by coming off the bench.

not having Nzogbia in the photo , knocks £5 million off his price .   They will know how desperate we are to sell . Dont know what Albrighton has done to deserve to be in it .

I though Zog was in the squad of 25 named at the start of the season.

if Zog is badly injured and nowhere near being able to train, I doubt that he's even in the country. If this is the case, then they probably wouldn't force him to fly over just for the photo.
