Don't forget the Coentrao cock-up.

I wouldn't worry too much about them.  After a couple of seasons weeks of Man U not winning anything a game they'll start supporting Man City or Chelsea.

Fixed

As other's have posted re the comparison with Arsenal/David Dein, and even us with PF coming to prominence at VP, we can only hope they suffer as similar fall.

I think the reason Arsenal didn't fall so far after Dein's departure was that with Whinger still in place, there was some degree of continuity and consistency.

We lost all semblance of that when MON walked out, and it seems like Gill's replacement has royally stuffed their contract negotiations, the saga with Fellaini is almost a classic Greek comedy.

If there is any Karma in the world, they'll now have a collapse, somewhere between ours and Liverpools, and slowly die Small Heath style, death by a thousand cuts, as a couple of seasons without CL money, would leave the Glazers buggered for financing the debt.  We live in hope.

Has anybody written a decent article about the aborted signing of the Bilbao player?
What the fuck happened there?  I'm sure Syd Lowe will update us in the Guardian Podcast.  I'm quite looking forward to that today.

When did Newton Heath change their name?

Manchester United Fans - Oxymoron?

They should have a Manchester United Fans Forum.

It's what i've called them for years.

The whole episode reminds me of when King Kenny left the double winning side as he knew there was major surgery needed on the aging team. Souness came in and was out of his depth and their decline from total domination began.

I can see the same with Golum at United

The problem with us older fans is that in the begining we all claimed that they followed United for glory, but 20+ years on most of their fans have no knowledge of them other than success

The Sky / Sun love fest still continues to give them more coverage than anyone else - we now need for a few pundits to start putting the knife in and making them squirm a bit

This twitter parody account is brilliant.

https://twitter.com/Moyes_Must_Go

Basically, a parody of a chinese Man United fan.

Just like USASoccerguy, part of the amusement is seeing people not realise it's a parody.

His answers are great. "How many World Cups have China won?"
"What that matter? I support Spain, Italy and Brazil!"
