Mental.  Its not like signing Fellani and Zaha will make them worse.

They've played pretty poorly for a long time, and lost a title by a point in 2010 and on goal difference in 2012.

and With Van Persie they can play really badly, create next to nothing and still win 2-0.

What is there for those tw*ts to moan about?

The one in my team at work was having a jolly old moan today.

The new Chief Exec is shit. Moyes doesn't have the pull of Fergie. Their moves in the window have been embarrassing.

What a fucking shame.

I must admit i was delighted to hear moyes had got the united job - his lack of European football will not make it easy and his departure from everton will weaken them .

I always thought moyes would be a good fit for spurs but i think he will be out of his depth at utd .

I wouldn't worry too much about them.  After a couple of seasons of Man U not winning anything they'll start supporting Man City or Chelsea.

Can you just imagine the joy if Moyes leads them to 'Thursday nights - Channel 5' ! I know it is unlikely but we can hope

I sympathise with them hypocritically. The pleasure is exquisite. More delicious than all the bragging rights in the world.

A lot of people connect the loss of David Dein to Arsenal's trophy drought. With all the fuss about Ferguson going, maybe people underestimated the loss of Gill at the same time.

Has anybody written a decent article about the aborted signing of the Bilbao player?
What the fuck happened there?  I'm sure Syd Lowe will update us in the Guardian Podcast.  I'm quite looking forward to that today.
