Good luck to him. Personally I have always found it difficult enough to find Selhurst Park by car whilst sober.

Any mention of what fee we're getting for him yet?

Would be surprised if its much over £1m

I'd be quite upset if it's not more than that, regardless of some opinions on here he's in his early 20s, a full international, and has a decent amount of premier league performances to his name £2-3m should be the going rate.

As we saw with Bent, we've made it so clear we want shot that we're not gonna get his real market value.

There different situations, I'm convinced Bent's price was affected by his injury record for the past 18months more than anything else.  He was available for roughly half of our games in that period, that's a big risk when it's a player who has always been about his pace.

Not unless Barry Fry is their manager.

I don't think Bent is a player who was always about pace, to be fair. He struck me as one who was about being in the right place at the right time. He's also brilliant at beating the offside.

He was brilliant at using his pace I agree, but his ability was still underpinned entirely by his pace.  He looked ineffective at the start of last season because the fitness wasn't there and his pace was down.

I think he relied more on his pace earlier in his career, when Charlton basically played to release him on the counter.  His main attributes, like most true goal poachers, are movement and finishing.

Nursey is saying the fee is £1.75m

@JamesNursey: #AVFC signing Libor Kozak in a permanent £7million deal. Bannan off to Palace for £1.75m is what I am hearing

£1.5 million for Bannan is a good deal.

How can Kozak increase in value from less than £2m when Lazio signed him to £7m when he has done nothing to increase his value?

£1.75m is ok, slightly less than I suggested earlier but I was closer than the less than a million I'd seen on here and in a few other places.

He has left the training ground - rumours of a 3 yr deal.
