Ive just been watching Bayern v Chelsea and Jamie Carragher was doing the punditry. Sounded like he'd been inhaling helium and whatever language he was speaking, it didnt sound anything like English

Ray Houghton does a lot of punditry in Ireland and I am quite sure I have seen Brian Little on Setanta? Graham Taylor has been a co-commentator hasn't he?

I think we are very well represented!

So it boils down to us probably having more ex players doing work on the TV than any other. Has anyone mentioned the totally unbiased views of Alan McInally?

Also with our away kit last season I think visibility needs to be toned down a wee bit.

I stand corrected. I might've expressed myself a bit poorly as english isn't my native language.

The club probably prefers to be more low-key than trying to get PR, which is understandable. Like I said in my OP it'd be nice for the club to celebrate the 140th anniversary, in classy manner naturally.

I'll second that.

Going off at a (slight) tangent, has the club made any comment about the blue plaques all the League founding members were meant to have received? Has there been any mention/photos of the Villa one and, more to the point, did we get a special plaque to recognize McGregor?

I think we sometimes take this stuff too seriously, when we start threatening to or actually winning things we will get plenty of attention.

On the pundit thing I think this thread shows we are pretty well represented.

Jarpie your use of visibility of Aston Villa is absolutly correct in this context however I don't agree with you on wanting more  Ex Villa players on TV. I do agree that club could be using our League founder connection to exploit more good PR.

Blimey.  I wish I could be that coherent in a second language.  What is your native tongue?

Finnish, sometimes my grasp of english  vocabulary and nuances are lacking so tone might come a bit wrongly.
