Off at a tangent slightly, does anyone else think that BBC Midlands Today seems to be biased towards/much more interested in Stoke than in any other local club?

Now you mention it, they do get a lot of coverage. Maybe it's because they're the only big team in the north Midlands so they have their own camera crew.

Could be something in that. I suspect they're possibly a bit more forthcoming in talking to the media some of the time.

This villa fan 'Si' on the phone in talks complete shite. He bases all of his opinions from listening to us on the radio.

I'm sure someone on here said he was blind.

I think it's a female and yes, she's blind.

Only just found out the caller Si is female from reading this thread.I ignorantly assumed Si was a lad.

Whenever I heard Si I always thought of Mark & Lard's "Beat the Clock"

Central don;t cover them so that's probably why the BBC give them decent coverage.

Tonight the presenter Richard Wilford (I think) was trying desperately to imply that as Delphs injury 'happened' when training we should think more into it as Kozak and Benteke were injured in training too. In fairness 'legend" Richard Sneekes said it was merely coincidence.

That isn't quite right, he was reading a listener's email who had said it was down to some problem with the training.

Although again, there were the same 10 callers, Si included, who thought we should put Clark back into midfield ahead of Sanchez because he doesnt think he is good enough based on a half of football.

Purely out of interest, how many times has CallmeFranksy mentioned Saido Berahino being sold in January?

I certainly heard them last week twisting Irvine saying he would welcome the attention in January as it would mean Berahino is doing very well....into they are trying to flog him.

Anyone hear the rant from The caller Ron tonight?  Was truly excellent summing up of our current position.

You mean he said that we're mid-table with a couple of our star players still short of match fitness and one currently injured?

I heard it.  His main points were

Its the worst villa team since the 1950's

Its a rubbish squad with no quality

Delph only looks good because we're so poor everywhere else.

There's no leadership and or off the pitch

Roy Keane is rubbish

He feels sorry for Lee Clark, as Lambert is worse

And what exactly is truly excellent about that? All I can see is the type of hysterical bollocks beloved of WM callers and internet over-dramatists.

You're right he was talking crap.  It's the worst side since the late 80s not 50s.
