Why is a bloke like Doogan, appointed by the Poison Dwarf, still in a job at Villa Park?

I'm not sure this Doogan chap is very good at his job. Just a hunch.

Bit like Lerner & Lambert then - pretty crap at their respective jobs!

I heard "Reego" bitching like the gimp he is about how hard it is to be a journalist and deal with the Villa. Probably has something to do with being a shit stiring fuck.

He could always just fuck right off from our club and stick to covering WBA. Everyone would be happier.

@patmurphybbc: Declaring a personal interest I was pleased for Nigel Clough today after losing his mum & his @dcfcofficial job in the last few months.

@patmurphybbc: Lerner hasn't given a presser since May 2010 or spoken to radio/TV since buying @AVFCOfficial in 2006.So who will give him some home truths?

I suspect Lerner doesn't get home truths and is surrounded by an army of smithers when he does come into contact with people.

No, but you'd have thought after over seven years he'd have realised that Lerner doesn't do press conferences!

Mind you, how many owners do? There are the obvious examples of the likes of PornoDwarf who are never out of the papers but really, how many owners do press conferences?

He's whinging because he's not getting access to people he probably thinks he's entitled to.

Spot on. Good luck getting an interview with the Spurs owner about who actually picks new signings or the Bolton owner about their debt. Both of whom seem to spend about as much time in England as Lerner.

Not many. I suppose Doug would never shut up.

You've got Dave Whelan who rings up Talk Sport.

I'm pretty sure that good old Dave Whelan was the only owner to record a personal happy new year message to Sky Sports News viewers. Alongside the FA cup, just in case anyone had forgotten who he was.

When a club is in a mess it needs strong leadership. That's the root of our problem. It's not wrong for local journalists to dig for answers and keep on digging. In fact, that's exactly what they're supposed to do.
